"Oh. There's this one movie that came out today. Looks really good. I guess it's a sequel to another movie." She paused, trying to remember the name of the film. "It had Nicholas Cage in it, I remember that much." Her accent was beginning to flare. It always acted up and came out when she was thinking too hard. "It was Nationel...something, Book of Logics, or something like that. I don't know..." She finished her first waffle and continued with the other.

Helena's head shot up. "National Treasure: Book of Secrets?" She loved Justin Bartha whp played Riley Poole. She had wanted so badly to meet him when she was in New York City the year before. She didn't get the chance. "A movie though, seriously?" She let out one of her famous sighs.

"Yeah, I think that's it. But I don't know. It was just a thought. We don't have to." She lowered her head and continued eating. Helena may not be hungry, but she sure as hell was. She took a few more bites and was finished. "I don't know what to do, Helena. Again, it was just a thought..."

Helena mumbled and stood up. "Wake me up in seven hours." In seven hours, it would be one. She'd catch up on some exercise and then find out what Jean-Claude and Willie wanted. "I'm exhausted and very irritable. Night..." She drug herself to her room and fell face first on her pillows. "Uhn..."

Bert sat behind his desk, fingers laced, head pounding with frustration. He still didn't understand why Helena Dragonetti wouldn't come work for him at Animator's Inc. She was the best out there, she needed to put that talent to good use. Raising zombies and making him millions of dollars a week is good use. Right? "Ugh..." Bert sighed and dialed her number once more. "Come on, woman. Pick your damned phone up!..."

Helena picked up her phone with a loud groan and saw the number on the caller ID. It was Bert Vaughn again. She pushed talk and took a deep breath. "Bert, if you don't stop calling me I will kill you, and then you will need to find a damn good animator to raise your ass because you will be in pieces. Bye!" She hung up and set the phone down on the bedside table. She had gotten a whole two hours of sleep. She still had five left until her alarm clock went off. Son of a bitch...

"Damn it!" Bert slammed the phone down and began strumming his fingers on the desk. He was frustrated to all Hell. "Fine, whatever. I don't need her." Bert continued strumming his fingers and then folded them over his head. His long legs crossed and began bouncing. "What the hell am I thinking?! Of course I need her!" He let all his limbs fall as he slumped into his chair. "How the hell can I convince her to get on my pay-roll?!" The wheels in his head turned for a while and then came to a crashing hault. "God damn it... I can't think of anything."

Helena found it extremely difficult to get back to sleep. Once she had been woken up, sleep usually always became out of the question. "Fucking son-of-a-AH!" She fell out of her bed, sheet wrapped tightly around her lower legs and feet. Her hair fell into her face so she couldn't see to unwrap herself. "I'll kill you, Bert Vaughn..." She blew her hair out of her face and groaned. Her body was too weak to make much of an effort to move. "Help..." She didn't mean for anyone to hear her. She didn't like help to be truthful. "Nevermind...don't help."

"Wow, Helena," Edward smirked from her doorway, "You look just perfect." He walked further into her room and set his shot gun down on her computer desk. "I'd say you're pretty vulnerable right now, wouldn't you?" He sat at the edge of her bed to watch her struggle to free herself. "Ten in the morning and you're still in bed? Tsk, tsk." He picked up a piece of the sheet and pulled, releasing her. "Such a clumsy woman."

"Shut up, Edward! Just shut the hell up!" Helena stood and flattened her hair as she got it out of her face. "Why are you here?" She looked out the door and saw Candi. "Get in here, Candi!" She looked back at Edward, awaiting his answer. He usually didn't show up without a very good reason. That reason usually involved death, and lots of it.

Candiedinia walked into the room with caution. She was powerful, but Edward could slay vampires. She hardly knew him, but she knew he would torture you for information; even if you were his friend. And the last she knew, Edward didn't have a reputation of having friends. It just wasn't like him. Candi stood between Helena and him. It was also between Edward and his shot gun. But if he was armed with anything more and he wanted to harm either or both of them, they were in trouble.

Edward smiled up at Candiedinia. He hadn't known her for even a year. He had known Helena for three. He wasn't sure he wanted Candi present. "I'm here to ask Helena a question." His gaze turned back to Helena. "Do you know how I can find the Master of the City?" He knew Helena had vampire friends. He only hoped she did know where to find the Master.

"No, Edward, I do not." It was the truth. Her name was Nikolaos and that is all Helena really knew. "I wish I could help, but I can't." She sat down on her bed and stretched her arms. So much for sleep. Men... Her head was throbbing from the quick tumble from the bed. "Candi...nevermind." SHe couldn't remember what she even wanted to say.

Candi raised her eyebrows at Helena from behind Edward. "O-kay..." She tapped on Edward's shoulder and made sure that he turned to face her. "Edward...Ted. Could you do us a favor? We can't help you. If Helena doesn't know where the Master of the City is, I sure as Hell don't. So, back to the favor then: Get OUT!" Her emotions were flaring and her accenting was coming back. Edward always made her angry. No matter what he really did. He could bring her a dozen roses and she would still get angry with him.

Edward couldn't help but smirk at Candi. Her anger always found a way of amusing him. "Okay, Candi." He stood and grabbed his shotgun. "If you find out, either of you, be sure to call me." He threw a card at Helena and took off. He had business elsewhere anyway. He had other people to...question. Yes, that was it...question. He grinned as he left the apartment.

"What an ass." She considered Edward a friend, if that's what you would call him. Yet, she did not enjoy being woken up or teased about her slight clumsiness. "Candi, what time is it?" She was far too lazy to move and find out for herself. Today just wasn't her day. She tried to sleep and now she probably wouldn't get the chance until the following morning thanks to a few blood sucking bastards.

Candi glared towards the front door and then looked at the clock on the bedside table. "It's 11:13 in the afternoon... Morning! Morning. There's no 11:13 in the afternoon. God! I'm so stupid..." Her hand met her forehead in a swift movement. She hated how dimwitted she was sometimes. She felt it made her foreign descent all the more noticeable to everyone else, and she hated it. Candi wanted to fit in, and it was hard doing that when her nationality shone through.

Helena stood up completely and shrugged. "11:13 in the afternoon sounds fine to me." SHe rose up on her tipdoes and did a small revele' and then came down into a plie' and back into a releve'. "That feels good." Every single toe had popped before she let herself walk to her closet. "I'm up for taht movie." She was actually up for anything that didn't involve sitting in their house. "Let's get lunch first though...kay?"

Phillip sat at a small table at the Calypso's "Hole-in-the-wall" cafe. He was hiding behind his dark sunglasses, watching Helena Dragonetti being sitted along with Candiedinia Flaherty. He was wearing a black long-sleeved button up dress shirt that revealed several lumps of scar tissue caused by his... addiction. Phillip removed his sunglasses and put one of the arms between his teeth. He silently grinned as he made eye contact with Helena. Her eyes seemed to widen as she placed his face. "Ha ha ha..." His soft laughter floated through the air to where they were seated. So gorgeous...

Helena sat down quickly, averting here eyes from Phillip. He was one of Jean-Claude's strippers. She had never spoken to him but boy was he beautiful. "Candi...Phillip is here." She only hoped Candi wouldn't go looking around to see him. Phillip would know she was talking about him. She didn't need him coming over to their table. A man was the last thing she needed to deal with that afternoon.

Candiedinia's first instinct was to look around for him. And when she saw him, there was a small stomp on her toes that caused her to jump in slight pain. "...Ow." Candi grimaced at Helena and glanced back at him through the corner of her eye. She knew that Phillip came to Calypso's, but it had somehow slipped her mind. She saw Phillip stand and begin to walk over. "Do you want to stay here? We could go still."

"It's a little late now..." She growled in annoyance. She took a deep breath and stared don at her menu. She scanned it and sighed. "What to eat...?" She kept scanning the menu. "What to eat?" She just kept scanning the same stuff over and over. She knew he was almost to the table. She gulped and it took all she had not to look up.

Phillip reached the table the two ladies were sitting at and crossed his arms. He looked down at Helena and smirked. He "accidentaly" dropped his sunglasses and knelt down to pick them up. Helena's thigh was level with his lips and he was quick to take advantage of that. He picked up his shades with one hand and gripped her thigh with his other. His lips quickly moved to the limb in his hand and he got an urge to do more. He rapidly released her and stood. "It's a pleasant surprise seeing you here, Miss Dragonetti."
